Environmental information . . .
Our award winning studio is powered entirely by our own renewable energy system comprising of a wind turbine, several photovoltaic (PV) panels and a micro-hydro system. All studio equipment has been specially selected for low power consumption to keep our energy demand as low as possible.
Working closely with other environmental companies enables us to source the best in environmentally sensitive papers, printers and processes, ensuring that the whole process, from concept design to final print has been acheived with minimum environmental impact.
Through our environmental management system we have achieved the Green Dragon environmental standard Level 2 since 2003.

printing…
Through continual research into the latest printing technologies, we can advise on the best use of paper and printing processes to suit specific design projects.
For shorter print runs digital printing technology offers the best solution in environmental print as it eliminates the use of aluminium plates, solvents and oil based printing inks.
When litho printing is required, we work closely with printers that have acheived the highest environmental standards through management systems such as Green Dragon, ISO 14001 and EMAS. The impacts of litho printing on the environment can be reduced by using printers that use waterless printing, vegetable based inks, FSC papers, renewable energy and who also support local recycling schemes.
paper…
zodshop can advise on the best use of paper for your particular requirements and we can source a wide range of materials with high environmental standards. We recommend the use of TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) papers, which have been oxygen bleached, meaning that no dioxins are produced in the process.
transport…
Deliveries and meetingsĀ in the local area (20 mile radius) are made by sustainable transport..bicycle. For journeys in other areas of Wales and England we aim to use public transport and where this is not possible we will use our company vehicle which runs on recycled vegetable oil, collected and processed in the local area.
